Who writes the guides
Guides are published by the Memrial Editorial Team: the people responsible for researching and maintaining Memrial’s public family-archive guidance. We use an organisational byline until a genuine named author or specialist reviewer has approved the piece. We do not invent a person, credential or first-hand experience.
How product comparisons are researched
We check the provider’s current official help centre, privacy information and public plan pages, then link the relevant source beside the claim. Documentation research is not described as hands-on testing. If we later test the same workflow in live accounts, the article will state what was tested, on which date and with which sample files.
How Memrial is disclosed
Memrial publishes this site and may appear in comparisons. We say that plainly. A comparison should recommend by use case, include real limitations and explain when a cloud photo library, group chat, local backup or another product is more suitable. Memrial does not buy its own ranking in our lists.
Sources, dates and changes
Time-sensitive product facts are linked to primary sources wherever possible. A substantive update changes the visible modified date. We do not refresh a date merely to make an old page look new. General preservation advice is separated from claims about a particular service.
Corrections
If a product limit, privacy detail or Memrial capability is wrong, please send the exact page and claim. We will check it against the primary source or working product and correct the article rather than quietly defending stale copy.
What our guides cannot promise
No article can guarantee that a storage service will last forever, that an invited relative will keep something confidential, or that a page will rank in search. Keep separate copies of irreplaceable originals, think carefully before sharing sensitive material and choose the tool that fits the actual family job.
