About storage and billing

What happens when our free archive fills up?

New uploads pause. Your existing memories, viewing and family conversations remain available. The archive owner can choose an available paid plan, or make room in the archive.

How does additional storage work?

Each available paid plan shows its included space and additional GB rate above. Additional original storage is calculated for the time you keep it. The owner sets a spending limit before allowing extra space.

Can we get an unexpected storage bill?

Each paid plan starts with a spending limit equal to its subscription price. There is no additional storage spending by default. Uploads pause before exceeding the authorised allowance. Only the archive owner can increase that limit; unused space costs nothing.

When do we pay?

Your paid subscription is paid when you upgrade, then monthly. Additional storage from the previous billing period is added to the renewal invoice. Raising the spending limit does not trigger an immediate charge.

What does Premium+ early access include?

Premium+ owners can opt their archive into approved previews of new features before their wider release. Preview availability varies; you can turn early access off from billing at any time.

How do plan changes work?

Moving to a higher tier charges the remaining month’s prorated subscription difference and activates after payment is confirmed. Moving to a lower tier takes effect at your next renewal. Earlier additional storage keeps the rate that applied while it was stored.

Does each relative need a subscription?

No. One subscription covers the archive and all its relatives. The owner handles billing.

Are watch parties and photo colourisation included?

Free includes three watch-party hours each month for up to six people. Premium and Premium+ watch parties have no monthly hours, room duration or participant cap. Free, Premium and Premium+ include one photo colourisation each month.

What happens if a temporary plan becomes unavailable?

It closes to new selections. Existing members keep their subscription, storage allowance and features, and can manage billing or cancel as usual. If you leave an unavailable plan, you can only return when it is offered again.

Can we cancel a paid plan?

Yes. Cancel from billing whenever you need to. Your paid plan continues until the end of your paid period, and any additional storage already used is still payable. The archive then returns to Free.

What if a paid plan is not right for us?

You have a 14-day money-back guarantee after your first payment. You can request the refund from billing.
